Joint churches prayer meeting: we will be meeting to pray as Bridgend churches on 11th November. The focus of this prayer meeting will be to pray for each other and for our various Christmas programmes. Please make every effort to support this important shared meeting (time and venue to be announced).

Thursday prayer meeting and bible study on 12th November will be a missionary meeting where we will be welcoming William Brown of UFM to speak. Broadlands will also be joining us for this meeting.

Harvest thanksgiving services will be on Sunday 18th October. We will be collecting some dry food to give to Support for Romania before this date (by 11th October). Any other produce given will be donated to WEST students.

Joint prayer meeting: we will be joining with Broadlands Evangelical Church for a prayer meeting on 22nd October at 7.30pm in the Ogmore Labour Club at Bryntirion. Lewis Holland and Lowri Iorweth will be reporting on the EMW camps that were held over the summer.

News from Lambert: He has received the money we collected some time ago and would like to pass on his thanks to the church for their kindness. Lambert has also sent some pictures of his baby boy, Origene.

News from James and Julia McMaster: their latest prayer letter is on the notice board. They especially ask for prayer for a mission later this month when a group from Reading will be visiting county Mayo to engage in evangelistic work.

We are very sorry to announce that Hedley Dent passed away on Wednesday (3rd June). Our sympathies and prayers are with Linda, Fiona and John Mark. Funeral details to be announced.

We have been invited to join Broadlands Church for a communal church lunch after the morning service on Sunday 12th July. We will meet at WEST at around 12.00pm.

“Real Lives” Christian Festival begins on 27th April with meetings every evening culminating in a joint service of the churches involved on Sunday 3rd May in Bridgend Recreation Centre starting at 5.00pm. Please note this will replace our regular evening service in Bethel. Please be in prayer for the Lord to use this witness for the gospel and pray for those involved in speaking, especially Roger Carswell, our main speaker. (Website: www.real-lives-bridgend.org)

Church Meeting with our architect will be on Thursday 7th May at our usual time of 7.00pm. This meeting is open to all (not just church members) and will be an opportunity to discuss our plans to extend the building.

Baptism of Val Plowman will be on Sunday 10th May during the evening service. We are very pleased to be able to baptise Val and would ask you to pray for her and for members of her family who will be visiting on that day. The service will start a little earlier than usual at 5.00pm with refreshments following.

WEST Annual Meeting will be on Saturday 16th May, 2.30pm at WEST. The speaker will be Gary Benfold from Bournemouth. All welcome and refreshments will be served following.

Ben Griffin will be visiting us on Sunday 17th May to preach and to tell us more about their plans for mission work in Ivory Coast (working with UFM)

Bridgend Churches joint prayer meetings will be on Tue 31st March at the Vine Christian Centre and Thurs 23rd April at Brackla Tabernacle. Both meetings will begin at 7.30pm and the aim is to pray for our churches, for Bridgend and for the “Real Lives” mission.

Missionary meeting will be taking place on Thursday 9th April at 7.30pm in the Labour Club at Bryntirion. We will be joining with Broadlands Evangelical Church to listen to Paul Donovan speak about the work of UFM in Papua New Guinea.

Kidz Klub: We are joining forces with Broadlands Evangelical Church to organise a fun session for junior school children (school years 3-6) on Thursday 16th April from 10am-12.30pm in the Labour Club on Bryntirion. Admission is free! Please feel free to publicise this event to children and parents you may know who would be interested and please pray for all those involved.
